Fuse having recently received delivery of their new business cards with new branding. We have to say that we are very pleased with our new cards, they look great and we’ll be posting a picture of them up here once we launch our new branding in the coming weeks.
But, having said that we’ll be sad to see the old ones go, as we have found them to be extremely popular, they have cropped up on various design blogs, website galleries and have been published in two books.
Lets hope the new cards will be just as successful!

Fuse have recently returned from a great visit to Copenhagen.
You would expect Copenhagen and its surroundings to have something rather special up its sleeve in the art and design department and we were not disappointed. Copenhagen’s architectural richness is one of the first things that strikes you in city. From the delightful 17th century Dutch-style town houses that line the quay at Nyhavn to the dynamic modern extensions to venerable old buildings. The museums house impressive collections of both classic and modern Danish and international art and design, which was right up our street.
One of the highlights of the trip was the Danish Design Centre (DDC). The main exhibition on at the time was the ‘10+ Design Forecast’ which takes stock of Danish design in the first ten years of the new millennium and examines which design trends have a big role to play in the years to come.
If you’re interested in any aspect of design, then Copenhagen is certainly the place for you.

As the new fuse branding starts to gain momentum, we decided to hire out the Double Red Studio in Lincoln and professionally shoot a range of printed marketing material we have produced for our clients in the past year.
We got photographer Phil Crow in to take the shots for us that will be featured in our portfolio section on our new website. It was a nice break from being in front of our monitors with Adam setting up most of the shots and Stuart making the tea!
We have just received our images back from Phil and we now can’t wait to launch our new site to show off our clients work!

It’s been on our ‘jobs to do list’ for a while, but now we have got around to adding this entry into our blog!
Above are our Fuse portfolio’s we have been using this year, providing an insight for our new and existing clients into what we do here.
Only 100 limited edition portfolio’s where made and involved 3 different companies who are specialists in their fields. The covers are white satin foiled onto ebony Colourplan from GF Smith, the text pages where printed digitally to both sides, and a citrine Colourplan fly sheet was added between the cover and text pages. These pages where then creased and folded and machine sewn to bind them in a cotton that matched the citrine fly sheet.
Overall they have been a massive success and now the plan is to make it an annual marketing exercise!

Working along side London based Product Designer – Alex Hammond - We looked into just what is possible using colored acrylic and laser cutting.
Laser cutting is traditionally used for industrial manufacturing applications, but we are always on the look out for creative, new and interesting ways to market both ourselves and our clients. As a starting point with we just played around with our existing branding. Alex was interested in seeing how this process could help him in one of his upcoming furniture design briefs.
Click here to see some of Alex’s latest work.
Its always good to see just what is possible by exploring different avenues when it comes to self promotional pieces, hopefully aiding both us and our clients to stand out from the crowd!
