Bullfighting is a cruel and unnecessary pastime in which the severely disadvantaged bull is tortured over a prolonged period before meeting almost certain death. The League Against Cruel Sports wants to take that message ‘Love Spain, Hate Bullfighting‘ and has asked designers to provide artwork to promote the message.
Fuse has entered 2 designs into the competition, which are voted for by the general public, the top 20 designs will be put forward with a winner picked by a judging panel – to vote or to see the other entries please follow one of the two links below.

As we start to tender for future 2012 design work, we thought a few days away to one of the most iconic designed Summer Olympic Games would be an invaluable research trip. The 1972 Munich Olympics is widely regarded as one of the best graphically designed games, which was down to Otl Aicher and his team of designers. They developed the pictogram system which uses logical geometry, simple grids and the font – Univers 55. It has since become the standard throughout the world.
The weekend involved a visit to The Olympic Park build for the 1972 games, which has since become a Munich landmark. The Park is full of competition sites, designed by architect Günther Behnisch, included the Olympic swimming hall, the Olympics Hall and the Olympic Stadium. Again the design of the stadium was considered revolutionary, with sweeping canopies of acrylic glass stabilized by metal ropes.
The Park is only a few underground stops from the city centre and if you are in Munich and have a half a day to spare we highly recommend it.
